| Keira Knightley. is another perennial favorite on our Top 99 Most Desirable Women list. She ranked No. 12 in 2006 , No. 4 in both 2005 and 2004 and made it as high as #2 in 2007, and for good reason: Keira is an elegant, talented actress with classic features and a stunning presence. This 23 year old stunner starred in two films in 2008, "The Dutchess" and "The Edge of Love" which is due to hit American theaters in March 2009. And is scheduled to appear in 2 more later this year (2009) "Last Night" & "London Boulevard". It's no surprise to find still in our top ten in 2008. Keira Christina Knightley was born in the South London suburb of Richmond on March 26th 1985. The daughter of actor Will Knightley and playwright Sharman Macdonald. After she requested an agent at the age of three, her parents allowed her to work on productions in her summer holidays. Her first role was at the age of 9, in Moira Armstrong's A Village Affair (1995) . However, Knightley's first high profile role came in 1999, as Sabe, Decoy Queen to Natalie Portman's Queen Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace . Since then she has completed an impressive array of films including The Hole (2001), tomboy footballer Jules Paxton in Gurinder Chadha's Bend It Like Beckham (2002),in the Delta's Choice award winning Love Actually (2003), Keira played Juliet, a newlywed whose husband's Best Man is secretly besotted with her.
